SAFARI GUIDE TO TANZANIA
What to Expect on Safari in Tanzania
A quintessential East African safari destination, Tanzania evokes images of wide-open savanna, abundant wildlife, and white sand beaches. And for good reason, as few nations on earth have a greater amount of land dedicated to parks and game reserves. And Tanzania’s incredible national parks all have reputations that precede them. Chances are that you’ve heard of the Serengeti, of Kilimanjaro, of Arusha, and of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Depending on your time of travel, in a single trip you can witness wildebeest and zebra crossing the Serengeti in the hundreds of thousands. You can explore the Ngorongoro Crater while seeing its year-round concentrations of spectacular wildlife. And you can wind through the maze-like streets of Stone Town in search of spices and traditional crafts before settling on Zanzibar’s beloved shores.
FROM WIDE-OPEN SAVANNA, ABUNDANT WILDLIFE, THE WILDEBEEST MIGRATION, AND ISLAND BEACHES, IT'S EASY TO SEE WHAT MAKES TANZANIA A FAVORITE AMONG TRAVELERS IN EAST AFRICA.

Tanzania Travel Tips
My husband and I just returned from our two week safari + Zanzibar honeymoon in Tanzania, all thoughtfully booked and managed by Hornbill Treks & Safaris. I'm normally not one to leave reviews, but I feel compelled to tell other travelers that this was by far the most flawless, memorable, and personal trip I've ever had the pleasure of taking. We saw everything we hoped for (and more!) on safari, from the Wildebeest migration to tree climbing lions, but also had the pleasure of hot meals and a kind + unbelievably knowledgeable host to guide us around the beauty of the countless national parks we got to explore. We kept saying that we felt like we had the best guide out of all of the other safari vehicles we were passing--we seemed to always be in the right place at the right time!
