Day 1: Welcome to Zanzibar
- STONE TOWN
Arrive in Zanzibar International Airport, where you will be met by your Zanzibarian guide. Transfer to Stone Town, where you’ll have the opportunity to browse the colorful shops. Take in the sunset and enjoy a rooftop dinner at Emerson on Hurumzi.

Day 2: Spice Farm & City Tour
- STONE TOWN
Start your day by visiting one of the local spice farms and gain insights into tropical fruits, spices and rare species of plants. Depending on the season you will see and taste vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, lemon grass, ginger, coriander, and many others, learning about the origins of each spice. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch cooked by the women on the farm.
Return to Stone Town for your guided city tour. Stone Town is a vibrant and historical city, where ancient cultures mix with modern life in riot of color—people cooking food, playing bao on the winding streets, keeping their hens, and tending their shops. Afterwards, proceed to Emerson Spice for dinner.

Depending on your location, you might opt to explore the Indian Ocean with any of the island’s numerous water sports, take a self-guided bicycle tour of the area, or snorkel off the shore. Or simply relax, read, swim, and enjoy life on the white sand shores along the Indian Ocean.

Day 5: Dhow Excursion & Snorkeling

Head out on a full day dhow excursion on the Indian Ocean. Stop at one of the snorkeling spots and explore the marine world; afterwards, continue to a deserted beach or sandbank for a delicious beachside BBQ.
During the Spice trade, Arab and Indian merchants sailed to Zanzibar using monsoon winds. Still today the dhow is the main vessel to transport goods to Zanzibar using the same sailing methods. After lunch and leisure, make the return journey to your beach hotel.
